The first half of this book goes into a lot of philosophy, Christian philosphy, Gelpi offers some very important contextual information that roots his understanding of Christian Experience. Then it gets into spirituality and he has some very interesting ideas that a single read will not do justice to. But through out the book is a central theme; that God is there to be experienced. We don’t just learn about God but we must experience God to really enter into a relationship that is of any real value. For anyone who wants to experience God this is a good place to start if you are the kind of person who needs to have a framework to understand Christian Spirituality.
