Description
Leanne Payne explains the basis of her counseling ministry–Christ’s indwelling presence that brings the power of the incarnation into wounded lives.
This book is written and argued very well. Leanne Payne starts with the people of God’s greatest distinctive i.e. His presence among His people, as especially seen in their union to Christ, and unfolds the massive benefits He makes available to them through His presence among them. She sets forward God’s goodness in Christ and the necessity of seeing Christ’s life-giving presence realized in and for us. Leanne Payne sets these insights out by drawing on scripture, church history, and her own personal growth in experiencing and drawing on the presence of Christ for life and ministry.
The chapters on Jungian psychology and imagery are excellent but dense. For those involved in counseling and prayer ministry these chapters have much value for any believer seriously determined to set their faith on a solid foundation.
