Toyohiko Kagawa was a Japanese Christian pacifist, Christian reformer, Evangelist, a Labor activist and Advocate for the cooperative movement in Japan and the United States. Kagawa worked at length on ways to employ Christian principles in the ordering of society and in cooperatives. His vocation to help the poor led him to live among them. He established schools, hospitals, and churches. He set in motion patterns of social change that continues to inspire people today.
